Letters and sounds

by Kay Folland 12. May 2010 10:34
The Racoons have been really keen in using the free flow showing a particular interest in the top garden. We have been engaging in a lot of activities extended from the children’s interests, looking for bugs and insects and went on to making ladybirds from this as requested by one of the children. The children have been taking indoor activities outside e.g. painting, gluing and Keyperson time, using sticks and pinecones to extended number language. Following on from a course myself and Lizzy attended for letters and sounds, we have been listening to sounds we can hear in the garden and using actions to these sounds to extend their knowledge of letters and sounds, the children have responded really well to the activities we are doing making letter and sound time more exciting engaging all the children throughout. Could we please have updated family pictures for their family books. Kay and Lizzy
