Playdough

by Angela Maynard 28. April 2010 11:56
This week the children have been using their physical and creative development skills to explore the diversity of Playdough. Not only have they used their hands to manipulate it by stretching, poking and patting it. The children also added glue sticks to make marks in the dough. This activity has also helped to develop the children’s fine and gross motor skills. Next week we hope to extend this further by doing a cooking activity with the children. This will allow them to explore ingredients and how they can be combined to give a different effect. Hayley and I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the parents who kindly donated to the Brain Injury Trust. We would also like to remind you to provide sun-hats and a change of clothes for your children. Now that the weather is getting warmer there is plenty of opportunity for outdoor play and the chance to get wet. Finally we would like to give a warm welcome to Lily who has joined us recently and we hope she will enjoy her time in the Bouncing Bears. Angela and Hayley
