Sign language

Sign Language This week the children have been trying something new. They have been learning a few simple sign language signs. For example “mummy” by copying Hayley. The sign for “mum/mummy” is to tap three fingers on the palm of your left hand. Some of the children have picked this up by doing their own version by clapping their hands and saying “mummy”. We will continue to learn 1 sign a week so the children can pick it up easily and at their own pace. This will help them to learn something new. This is covered by communication, language and literacy and will allow the children to learn another language. Hayley and Angela
