Imitating our Mummies and Daddies

by Shirley Pegman 29. January 2010 09:27

This week we have a new role play corner which includes a sink and cooker and lots of utensils and crockery and cutlery. The children have loved exploring it and have been opening and closing  doors as well as containers and pretending to cook and wash. They have had their dollies out and even had a tea party. We also have a new toy shelf which is at the children's level with baskets filled with lots of sensory toys. The children have enjoyed being independent. All these activties are helping them to learn new skills such as hand and eye co-ordination and fine motor skills.
