Welcome back to Abi. We have all missed you while you have been away. We would also like to welcome Lauren, Jacob and Millie who will be joining us next week in the Cuddly Cubs room. Our topic this week is writing, this is based on the curriculum area communication language and literacy. We will be taking part in feeling gloop, feeling paint and exploring the use of crayons by creating marks. Our aim of these activities are to introduce children to exploring different textures using our hands, feet and other body parts. This will help the children to develop further in both fine manipulative and gross manipulative skills. If you would like to make gloop all you will need is cornflour mixed with a small amount of water until the mixture is a thin 'paste' This 'paste' whe picked up will run through your fingers or when rolled in the palm of your hand will remain in a ball shape until you stop the movemant. We are still in the process of creating family books so please could you continue bringing in photos for these. We are able to photo copy your photos so that you can have the original ones back. The family books really help children to recognise familiar faces and will expand knowledge on childrens surroundings and where they are.
