This week we have been focussing on the children's Personal, Social and Emotional development. The children have been trying to learn each other’s names, as well as their own. They have been busy studying their own reflections in the mirror and being able to recognise themselves. These activities have encouraged the children to develop positive images of themselves and others. Using each other's names whilst playing also aids social confidence and inclusion by showing them that they are being acknowledged by others which in turn gives them a sense of belonging.
Next week the children will be learning about physical development. They will hopefully be exploring different ways to use their bodies to make their way in and out of tunnels. Also the children will be practising rolling and throwing balls to each other. These activates will encourage hand-eye co-ordination and help the children to use their imagination to find different ways to access the tunnels.
As you are all aware 'Christmas' is almost upon us and we in the 'Bouncing bears' have been busy making lots of surprises with your children which Hayley, myself and your children are sure you will enjoy. However in order to fulfil all our Christmas plans for you we are asking all of our parents if you have any unwanted white pillow cases and pillows. We would be extremely grateful for your donations as we are certain you will all love the result.
Hoping you all have a wonderful weekend.
Angela & Hayley
