The children sat in a circle with some musical instruements finding out what noise they all made by tapping, banging and shaking. We decided to sing some nursery rhymes with them which they thoroughly enjoyed. Some instruments we used were a Tambourine, Marracas, a Rain maker and Frog instruments, we also taught the children the names of each instrument. After playing with the musical instruments we decided to dance and sing to music which the children all found very exciting and all eagerly joined in with, we experimented by moving our bodies in different ways to different types of music and the children followed simple actions to nursery rhymes when singing. Why not try making your own instruments at home by filling a bottle with rice to use as a shaker.
Have a fab weekend
