We have now got our new Investors in People plaque up in pride of place by the front door. This is a huge achievement for the whole team, as it was a team effort. We have a number of people undertaking NVQ’s at the moment in local colleges from Level 2 to Level 6 and we are always learning and training – it’s that old adage – you never stop learning! Rebecca holds regular training sessions to ensure the team are up to date on the latest industry thinking.
We gained Investors in People status in 2007 and applied again sooner than we needed to refresh it, as we were applying at The Wigwam and I can honestly say they have really raised the bar with it feeling tougher to get recognition.
Cath Parish, our Investors in People assessor, said “All the staff were very positive and enthusiastic about their work. They all enjoyed the friendly and supportive atmosphere in both of the nurseries. Staff commented that it was not like coming to work as it felt like ‘one big family’.” Cath went on to say “The two Directors need to be applauded for their exceptional eye for detail and encouragement of staff to be involved in putting forward and implementing new ideas.”
