On Wednesday 21st October we will be exploring the great outdoors. In order to explore the environment we are going to walk down to South Hill Park and play in the park. While we are there we are going to feed the ducks. We are also going to collect leaves, sticks, conkers and pinecones, so that we can make nature collages.
While we are down there we are going to look at the different colours of the leaves on the trees and see where they came from. The children will also learn about their environment through touch, sight and sound. They will be able to feel what the leaves feel like when they fall off the trees. They will also learn where the ducks live and how they live. This also gives them the chance to learn about Autumn. The area we are covering in this activity is Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
