Cubs - how the week went

by Shirley Pegman 28. August 2009 12:04

The weeks activities went really well. The children explored with textures by feeling, touching, and sometimes tasting. Body painting wasn’t one of the best activities for the children as only a few participated, however the Gak went very well with the children pouring, mixing, stirring and moulding.

Messy activities are great fun and Gak is especially easy to clean up (for those who don't know it is a runny mixture of cornflour and water). They are perfect for the babies to be able to explore and experiement the sensation of it on their hands and understand what happens when they squish their fingers through it and touch other things - hopefully not our uniform!
